I absolutely love this book. It being a novella it is a quick and easy read. It is well written, smooth flowing and easy to read. The author does a great job portraying the characters, their emotions and the experiences they go through.I love the characters. While some we met in Hailey's story, however Jaxon and Bast are the stars of this book. Ajax is a hound woman, who is different and terrified of what she can do. While she and her friends are all supernatural, they don't know anybody else like Jax.
This is a must read book. Take a walk with Jax and her friends as they come of age and start getting the full extent of their powers. It's amazing what they can do. I highly recommend this book/series to those who enjoy paranormal romance. I can't wait to see what comes out next.

These novellas are packed with so much information, action, and mystery that I couldn’t put it down. I devoured this book, reading quickly, dying to know that happens to Jax. I cannot wait for more in this series; about Hailey, Jax, Solange, and Willow, but also about the Shadow Realm. This series is going to be fantastic
Jax's grandfather had many secrets and it appears many of those had to do with her. I have a different gift or curse than he did. Jax wasn't really interested in forming relationships with other than with her close friends and a Voodoo Priestess. Then she meets Bast and feels drawn to him like no one else. He also has a gift and it seems to especially react with hers.
I really enjoyed this and have questions about her other friends. Can't wait to see what happens next with this group of friends.
I was so excited when Miss Wylie said she was going to give us more from this world and Jax did not disappoint. A good, quick read with plenty of fun to keep you entertained.
A quick and easy read that you just jump into and then have to read it all ...... to find out what's next. lol
Wow. I I loved this book. Completely different than what I have read before.
I found a lovely marriage between Voodoo, Tribal and Spiritual identities. Set in the Bayou.
The book was definitely a page turner and, the ending was, again, a bit of a surprise.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this book and, really look forward to the next books in the series.
I reallly enjoyed meeting Jax and Bast and seeing old and new characters. Jax is really a amazing character. I really enjoyed seeing her unfold and embrace who and what she is. Bast is a amazing character with a strength that helps Jax along the way. I look forward to the next adventure.
This story of a doppelganger is the first I've read. I really liked the setup and the tension built up in such a short time. There was a point where I'm sure my heart rate was as high as a runners and my eyes got seriously dried out from forgetting to blink. This is a quick peek into the beginning of Jax's powers and there were appearances by her friends whom we see in other stories. The origin novellas look to promise an upcoming series that will have paranormal fans craving the next amazing story!
